Hello Everyone! I’m back in Madrid and finally able to show you a new outfit and some of my favorite restaurants in NY.

¡Hola a todas! Estoy de vuelta en Madrid y por fin he podido preparar el post que os debía de restaurantes en NY, además de enseñaros uno de los looks que llevé cuando estuve hace dos semanas. Esta semana en el blog: compras en Miami y los primeros outfits invernales.

Jacket/chaqueta: Zara. Pants/pantalones: Zara. Bag, boots and sweater: Forever 21. Sunglasses/gafas: Ray Ban.

RESTAURANTS

Breakfast

Sarabeths: If you are into baked goods (cookies, cakes, etc.), then you must stop at Sarabeth’s. With multiple locations in NY.

Si os gustan las cookies, muffins y un buen café no dejéis de ir, hay varios por NY.

Cafe Angelique: This place is so warm and cozy, they have the best cheesecake I have ever eaten.

Es un sitio super acogedor dónde apetece tomarse un café y probar la tarta de queso, una de las mejores que he tomado.

Magnolia Bakery: it was featured on Sex and the City, my favorite cupcake is the key lime cheesecake.

Es famosa porque salía en Sexo en NY, os recomiendo un cupcake de key lime cheesecake.

Fast and yummy food

Burguer Joint: It’s hidden away in the Parker Meridien Hotel, the hamburguers and the fries are delicious.

Escondido detrás de una cortina en una esquina del lobby del Hotel Parker Meridien, las hamburguesas y las patatas están buenísimas

Shake shake: As you know my favorite is the one in Madison Square Park.

Como sabéis mi favorito es el que está en Madison Square Park.

Tacombi: it’s a very chill and relaxing spot to go during the day. They have very good tacos and a lot of Mexican beers.

Un mexicano muy agradable, sirven unos tacos buenísimos y tienen gran variedad de cervezas mejicanas.

Lombardi: My favorite pizza is the one with meatballs and caramelized onion. I have my mouth watering!

Ya os he hablado de esta pizzería, os recomiendo la de albóndigas y cebolla caramelizada.

Billy’s : Great burguers, fries and cupcakes in Meatpacking.

Hamburguesas riquísimas a buen precio en Meatpacking.

Lunch

The Standard Grill: One of my favorite brunch spots. In warmer days you can get a table outside. I also love the beer garden is right next to it where you can take a beer before the brunch.

Uno de mis favoritos para el brunch, si hace bueno puedes sentarte fuera, la comida está muy buena y es agradable. Al lado hay un beer garden que también es muy de mi agrado, es perfecto para tomarte una cerveza antes del brunch.

Balthazar: One of my favorite spots for lunch and a must visit if I’m spending time down in Soho. The food is delicious, especially the duck confit.

Uno de mis favoritos para comer e imprescindible si estoy por Soho. Clásico bistró francés, riquísimo el confit de pato.

Armani Ristorante 5th Avenue: I like the atmosphere and modern interior design. The food is very good but desserts are better. Cool view over 5th Ave.

Está en la última planta de la tienda Armani, las vistas a la quinta son preciosas, la comida es buena pero lo que más agradezco es la cesta de pan (complimentary) que te ponen nada más llegar, algo realmente raro en USA.

Cafe SFA in Saks: It is the perfect place to come after a long day of shopping. Located on the top floor of Saks Fifth Avenue, many tables overlook Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Si me apetece probarme unos Louboutin, YSL, Prada o Roger Vivier sin ningún ánimo de comprar, sin sentirme intimidada por los dependientes y sin que “me molesten” voy a la planta de zapatos de Saks. Luego pico algo en la cafetería com vistas al Rockefeller Center y a la Catedral de San Patrick.

Dinner

Budakkan: Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous setting, and delicious food. I would recommend making a reservation for the main dining room so that you can fully experience.

Si habéis visto la película de Sexo en Nueva York, recordaréis el restaurante donde celebrán la cena de la pedida Carrie y Big. Os recomiendo reservar abajo, donde está el comedor principal. La comida y los cocktails son más que aceptables.

La Esquina: This place is awesome. You have to go through a secret door, down stairs and through the kitchen to find yourselves in a secret mexican restaurant. The food is delicious.

En la foto veréis un deli común sin ningún tipo de atractivo, pues bien, si pasas por una puerta escondida, bajas las escaleras y atraviesas la cocina, aparecerás en un mejicano de lo más acogedor y con buena comida.

Locanda Verde: it offers amazing food in a comfortable sitting. My recommendations would definitely be the steak tartare and the papardelle.

Sin ánimo de generalizar ni de ofender a nadie creo que donde mejor se come del mundo es en España, dicho esto, cuando estoy fuera me centro en que un restaurante sea agradable y se coma lo mejor posible y éste (cuyo dueño es Robert de Niro) cumple mis expectativas. Muy rico el steak tartare y los papardelle.

Abe and Arthur’s: The atmosphere and food has been fantastic every time I’ve been. Perfect for late dinner.

Tengo la (mala) costumbre de cenar tarde, y en NY (y en todas partes) la cocina de algunos restaurantes cierra antes de que yo me haya empezado a “recomponer”, en ese caso voy a este restaurante, está siempre muy animado y se come bien.
